Miami Fashion Week in May

March 27, 2014

This year’s Fashion Week event in Miami, scheduled for May 15-18, 2014, features many new additions to the spring fashion collection. The event, sponsored by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor’s Office, Dade County Board of County Commissioners, and the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, is one of the largest such events in the world. In its 15th year of operation, the Miami Fashion Week (MFW) has been recognized as the most prestigious international fashion event hosted in the United States.

MFW 2014 features the work of renowned designers from all over the world. The events and designers scheduled to appear at this colorful event are guaranteed to rival those of 2013, which featured over 60 designers representing 20 countries. If you are considering a trip to southern Florida this late spring to take in the sun and look at the new fashion design for 2014, you need to consider making plans now to attend this year’s MFW.

Events Scheduled for Miami Fashion Week

Some of the event venues in Miami for this year’s fashion week include those featuring Brazilian designer Carlos Miele, who was recognized with the International Designer of the Year Award, along with Rosa Clara, Spanish bridal designer recognized as Bridal Designer of the Year. Venezuelan designers Viviana Gabeiras and Nicholas Felizola respectively honored with the Humanitarian Award and Miami Fashion ICON Award will also make a presence with their designs at MFW.

Followers of Bravo TV’s Project Runway Latin America (III) will get a chance to see this year’s winner during MFW 2014. The winner will be in attendance and featured on the cover of Marie Claire magazines across Latin America.
